Yay, I have recently completed my hike of the Ozark Highlands Trail and my first long distance trail!!!
I can't tell you how awesome it feels to set a goal like that and finally see it fulfilled. I would love nothing more than to set off for another thru hike, but alas I must return to reality.
So what am I doing next? Well, I have my sights set on the longest continuous trail in Louisiana which is the Wild Azalea Trail. At 28 miles it is no long distance trail, but it is pretty awesome in its own right.
I have wanted to do a video and trail guide for this trail for some time and it looks like this upcoming weekend (5/5 to 5/7) I'll get my chance. Weather is supposed to be amazing and this may be my last backpacking trip in Louisiana as summer approaches.
So with that said I will be focusing my trips on day hikes across the state and will be continuing my series of videos and trail guides based on the popular book "50 hikes in Louisiana". Who knows, I may start working on my own trail guide book...
One more thing, l recently posted a video of my hike to the Acadiana Nature Station over in Lafayette so check that out! I will be doing a trail guide for those trails this week.
That's about it for now, stay tuned!
